Day 1- GUAYAQUIL - VALDIVIA
From the main port, depart and head towards the coast with its extensive banana plantations, asparagus, tropical fruits etc…In the peninsula of Santa Elena you will encounter and learn about the history of Panama hats.  In two small artisan towns: Barcelona and Sinchal, you will observe the process of gathering the raw materials before they become this prestigious product: the Panama.  After these visits, head to the Valdivia E-Lodge.

Day 2 – VALDIVIA - PUERTO LÓPEZ 

Following the Via del Pacifico towards Puerto López, you will have the opportunity to observe a series of fishing towns throughout the National Park of Machalilla.  Visit the community of White Water and learn something about the dry forests, as well as pre-Columbian cultures.  Overnight Lodging.

Day 3 – PUERTO LÓPEZ – WHALES
Early in the morning, after a good breakfast, we will embark from the boardwalk of Puerto López and head towards the Isla de la Plata.  On the way (from July thru September), it is possible to observe humpback whales.  Once on the island, we will do a walking tour of the “Little Galapagos,” that is to say an island where one can observe various species found on the famous Galapagos.  At the end of this walking tour, there is the possibility to go snorkeling.  Return to Puerto López.  Overnight Lodging

Day 4 – PUERTO LÓPEZ – MANTA
From Puerto López we continue to Manta, the principal port for the exportation of tuna in the entire Pacific Ocean.  Here, one can enjoy the seafood, a specialty of the Coast of Ecuador.  Additionally, Manta´s beach is ideal for relaxing and sunbathing.  Overnight Lodging at the Hotel del Oro Verde

Day 5 – MANTA – GUAYAQUIL
After having relaxed a little in the sunshine, the journey continues passing through Montecristi, the world capital of the Panama Hat.  In this little village, one can observe the final process of the hat production and can acquire a genuine Montecristi or Fino Panama.

 Arrive in Guayaquil.
